Learning from this Moment:

Addressing White Privilege and Racial Equity in our Industry

Recent events surrounding the unjust killing of Black Americans has resulted in a historic national and international uprising, and many Minnesotans are taking to heart the call to address our own legacy of racism. For those in the festival and event industry, it is worth asking how issues of white privilege and racial bias show up in the work we do - from how we create events and what our marketing looks like to who we hire and how we manage issues of safety and security. In this webinar, we'll address how white privilege and implicit bias affects our industry and learn how each of us can act as allies and agents of change to create the racial equity called for by this moment.
