  • At this 2.5-hour workshop, Dr. Xinyi Qian, Tourism Specialist in the Tourism Center at the University of Minnesota, will open with an overview of the fundamentals of festival and event management, and then walk participants through the process of evaluating a festival or event. 

  • Ms. Brigid Tuck, Senior Analyst in the Center for Community Vitality at the University of Minnesota Extension, will provide valuable information on conducting economic impact analysis for your festival or event. 

  • Dr. Qian will end the workshop by sharing findings from a recent project that profiles the festival & event "landscape" in Minnesota.
