The Minnesota Festival & Events Association is proud to offer two new scholarships for the 2026 MNFEA Annual Conference, designed to support the people and organizations who make our industry thrive. These scholarships are intended to reduce financial barriers, expand access to professional development, and invest directly in the future of Minnesota’s festival and events community. Applications are due by the end of January and will be reviewed by the MNFEA Board of Directors at the February board meeting, with recipients notified shortly thereafter. Small Festival Support Scholarship
Designed to support the heart of Minnesota’s festival landscape, this scholarship assists a qualifying small nonprofit festival or event organization with an annual operating budget under $250,000. Many of these community-driven celebrations operate on passion over resources and may not have the budget to invest in industry education.
This scholarship provides one free registration to the MNFEA Annual Conference, ensuring these vital local events have access to tools, training, and professional connections that help them grow and thrive.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Minnesota-based festival or event
- Nonprofit organization (501c status or verified charitable purpose)
- Annual operating budget under $250,000
- Not operated or owned by a city, municipality, or government entity
Applicants should demonstrate how conference participation will directly support their mission, strengthen their event, and contribute to their community.

service.

Conference, recognizing their leadership, passion, and impact and offering an
opportunity for continued growth and connection within the industry.

be actively volunteering for a Minnesota festival or event
- Recommended
by a festival or event organization
- Demonstrated
years of service, dedication, and leadership
- Nonprofit organization (501c status or verified charitable purpose)
Nominees
should showcase how their volunteerism has made a lasting difference in
supporting, enhancing, or expanding their community celebration.
