Step behind the curtain at one of the nation’s most respected cultural institutions with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. Founded in 1963, the Guthrie has set a national standard for artistic excellence while serving as a vital cultural resource for the people of Minnesota. Dedicated to producing a compelling mix of classic and contemporary plays, the theater also plays a key role in cultivating the next generation of theater artists.
Under the leadership of Artistic Director Joseph Haj, the Guthrie is guided by four core values—Artistic Excellence; Community; Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility; and Fiscal Responsibility. During this tour, members will explore the Guthrie’s three state-of-the-art stages, production and rehearsal spaces, classrooms, and public areas, gaining insight into the creativity, collaboration, and operational expertise that bring world-class theater to life. This immersive experience offers inspiration for event professionals seeking innovative ideas, meaningful storytelling, and a deeper appreciation for the performing arts.

Attacks on critical infrastructure can cause fatalities, injuries, and economic disruption, highlighting the need for mitigation efforts to reduce risk. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) created several security planning products to support stakeholders with mitigating the threats on public gathering events and public business locations. The Securing Public Gatherings (SPG) Workshop provides public and private stakeholders with security considerations related to the mitigation of risk, with a particular focus on small to medium-sized organizations.
